Oak in velocity mode help

Post by occustoms »

Hi im having an issue with a new setup. Im just testing on the bench right now and nothing hooked up but one axis (x). I am using oak with pro level unlock, standard plc. I have an dyn4 1.0kw drive setup in speed mode. I followed the setup in dmm to autotune it. And the drive works good by itself.

Im using it in velocity mode because i have to. It works with precision mode fine but i cant use that as my other drives are velocity only. So i found a problem on the centroid side. on pins 26, 28 without commanding any movements, i am reading 0.16volts so as soon as centroid enables the drive it starts turning and them alarms out. Happens even if i try to jog a direction too.

Also on the spindle analog the voltage doesnt read correct. When setup for 3000rpm it reads 9.91v at 1500rpm reads 4.95v at 1000rpm reads 3.3v and at 500rpm reads 1.64v

Does it sound like i have a bad board? Ive checked the 24v power supply and its good.

What am i missing?

How does the spindle analog measure up if you leave the DMM axis drive(s) powered off (maybe just label your one axis 'M' instead of 'X'), and test with the analog wires disconnected from your VFD?

I have seen enough examples of analog distortion caused by the drive at the other end, and heard enough examples of ill-behaved DMM drives, that I would not be quick to point fingers at the Oak board.

this is with them powered off ( not enabled ) drive is set to active low. I will de-pin the analog pins and recheck at lunch today. ill also measure it on the dmm drive side too. Last night i also tried to play with pid and noticed that no matter what happens in the pid program voltage stays at the 0.0167

Hmm. That seems a little excessive.

Try opening the report_*.zip file/folder in Windows Explorer, and deleting the "resources" subdirectory out of it.

If all else fails, just post the report_*.txt file.

Delete all the "scope-gather" files - png, txt, and HTML from the CNCM directory before running the report, or delete them from within the report zip file.
Cheers,

if the board won't let you upload a file of any type.. simply upload the report to a clould drive service and post a link.

Spoke with tech support and did some team viewer with them. Sent oak in to get checked out. Will update this when we find something out. It keeps corrupting report even after new installs. it will work once or twice then messes up.

Did you really mean to say CNC12 is creating report_*.zip files that are 1.6GB in size? Or did you mean 1.6MB?
