KP3 and TT1 (Resolved)

My first post here. I want to say I am not a machinist more of an "advanced" hobbyist gunsmith and for the most part self taught on my mill with 2 axis CNC.
I recently added the Z axis and purchased the TT1 tool setter and the KP-3 touch probe, which arrived in the mail yesterday.

I am starting completely from scratch on hooking these up and configuring them and the only directions i can find on Centroid website seem to be for the Acorn where you hard wire the cabling in. Mine cam with a cable with a plug and on the controller board is a port labeled "probe"

It seems I just need to plug it in but I want to know for sure and then what configurations need done after that.

Any help would be appreciated. Include is a current report and a couple pics of what I have.

Thanks in advance.

Once you have it connected and have parameters 11-15 set, be sure to do a "dry run":

With the KP3 plugged in and held in your hand, and the machine free to move X and Y a few inches every direction, start a Bore probing cycle: F1/Setup -> F1/Part -> F5/Probe -> F1/Bore.

As the table moves towards the first "wall", gently trip and release the stylus once. X should stop, back up an little, then start moving the same direction, but slower. Gently trip and release the stylus again. X should then start moving the other direction, for the second "wall". Repeat the two trips on that side. X should then move to the mid-point of the two walls, and the process will repeat for Y.

If axis movement stops and reverses every time you trip the stylus, then it is working and you can try it on a real part, with the probe in the spindle.

Similarly, you can test the TT1 an automatic tool measurement cycle (F1/Setup -> F2/Tools -> F1/Offsets ->F3/Auto Measure). As the Z starts to come down, pick up the TT1 and touch its plunger to any metal part of the machine, once and then a second time. Again, Z movement should stop and back off a little on the first touch; then start down slower; then stop after the second touch, pause, and rapid to home.

You can use the DP4 instructions to setup the KP3. I have attached schematics below for the cables you have. A KP3 specific manual is in the works. The main difference between Acorn and Allin1DC/OAK use with the KP3 is the special inverting cable that is required.

If you want to use KP3 with both Acorn and Allin1DC/OAK, the required cables are listed below for each system.

Acorn
#14947 kp-3 non inverting flying lead $31

Allin1DC/OAK
#14910 KP-3 inverting cable $45 (Don't cut end off to make flying lead, the inverting board is in the bulkhead connection.
#11211 Allin1DC/OAK - Bulkhead 6' Internal cable $40

I hate feeling dumb but, I am not clear on whether i need another cable other then the one that I received. or will it work with but tools?
