Oak Board / Software Level Release ?

Post by Titleiiarms »

Howdy ,, Any idea as to timing on the Oak board Price/software level transition ? Im looking to get a OAK board, 16 Bit IO add,and I guess the "Pro Software" with ATC add. Not sure when I should jump :) Would rather do it clean the first time..

Thanks !

Purchase the Oak board now. The Beta tiered software is available now so you can start building and just upgrade when the release version is available.
Cheers,

As Tom mentioned, public Beta release is available.
Some of us have been testing it and we felt good to let it out as a public Beta.

Yea.. I see the Beta version available.. Just wondering when the website will be updated with the new structure for the OAK board price ( reduction ) and the Pro Version Software Cost( Increase)? Im guessing its going to be about the same as the current Board price with the older version ( more limited) of included Software ? I will just call them tomorrrow and see what the breakdown is.. I know its probably in the works but takes time to update all the info on the site.

Yep .. Got all that :) I need this : "The cost of the main board cnc hardware (oak, allin1dc, mpu11) will be reduced and will be
announced soon."

You won't get that until they likely release the next version of software. If it were ME, I would buy the board now, load the Beta, follow the instructions and test it....
Re-read this line:
"If you participate in the Beta testing, you will receive a CNC12 license file at no charge. PM CNCKeith a fresh v4.15 report.zip file to receive your license file. This license file will work on future official releases as well. (v4.16+)"
;)
Then go back and read the feature list and their cost....just be fair and provide feedback...
