First, we can't "SEE" what you "SEE" it would have been nice had you taken the time to at least post pictures of your motors, machine, control cabinet to provide more "clues"

Peter, did you have the old control? IF so, you could have energized the drive power supply and took a reading. Better yet, you could reuse the power supply.

Do you have any schematics of the old control? I know Southwest Industries is not of much help....

Lastly, you do not state WHICH Centroid control you purchased? Assume All in One DC?

More information provided will get you better suggestions and help ;)

In general, please follow this post when asking for assistance: First Welcome.

Thanks marty May be this is not a question for you
Thought it Was A simple question Im assuming proto track mx3 Only used 1 sort of motor and it looks Likel lots of mx3 have been retrofitted with allin1DC
Measuring the voltage dose not tell me the safe max voltage or current
Regards
Peter

Not a question for me?
If you have the original control, with the original power supply you can surely power it up and measure the DC voltage.
The old drives may offer a clue if documentation can be found as to what current settings to use.
Have you done a resistance check of the motors?
https://www.centroidcnc.com/dealersuppo ... ds/155.pdf

What resistance do you get between positive and negative leads of the motor?

If you take the time to post pictures of the motors and existing control cabinet, maybe one of us can identify it.

So you bought an All in One DC?

I'm not trying to be sarcastic, but with out pictures or more info, we'll have a difficult time making reasonable suggestions.

Did you putting in Prototrak MX3 in the search box upper right corner of this page? I got a couple of pages of info. You might be able to ask one of the users directly by private message. CNCSNW has done and seen many retrofits. Post a picture of the motor he might recognize it.

Super, you have what you need....that current seems a bit low to me. Standard All in One DC lowest current settings is 6amps. MAY be ok.
Let's see if Marc or someone else chimes in. Short of that, ask Centroid about it when you place the order.
