Hey guys I'm looking to spec out an encoder for my retrofitted vmc I'm looking to use RLS magnetic ring encoder and I have a few options for help put I wanted to know which is correct i am using oak board with vfd ve drive
Incremental rs422 5v
Incremental push pull 5v to 30v
Incremental open collector 5v to 30v
analog voltage 1vpp 5v
As stated those are my four options. Currently I was running a low quality magnetic encoder and it failed so I would like to use a proper name brand one
Encoder output delta vfd ve oak

Confidence is the feeling you have before you fully understand the situation.
I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are where they should be.

5VDC Differential/Line driver encoders are required for all of Centroid's current controls. So yes, that type encoder works with Oak.supermaxcnc wrote: ↑Sat Aug 22, 2020 12:31 pm And that will work for Oak ? I just wanted to confirm I'm not super knowledgeable with electronics
