Replace the SHIELDED Ethernet cable, it's cheap.
Is this a simple knee mill?
Upgrade to a mini PC with a solid state drive and upgrade the software. 4.14 is current release. Make sure it meets current system requirements:

(Not terribly hard to do, most any Intel CPU running at 3.0ghz or faster should do)
If a simple knee mill, upgrading the software shouldn't be a difficult task. DO consult with Centroid as you *may* need new software unlocks, make sure you send them a fresh report to support@centroidcnc.com
Small PC will let you move it anywhere. I would shorten that Ethernet cable too as Marc suggested.
