My 220 is not hooked yet so been powering up the M400S with the 110.
I’ve noticed after powering there has been a delay then I hear a relay or a switch and the panel powers up. Tonight I could not power the panel. Fan is running on enclosure so I’ve got power in.

Is there a relay or switching unit that activates the panel/cpu?

The relay is the estop contractor. It will not engage if the estop button is pushed in or you have a fault condition - something we could see from a report.

I should note the only difference in the power ups is that last time the spindle was fully extended when shut down. I had a
Problem with x+ Limit switch when I got it but it would still wake the panel.

It is not quite clear what you mean by "the panel" and "the enclosure" in your original post.

"Panel" could mean the electrical control panel located in the gray control cabinet on the back of the machine; or it could mean the LCD display panel and/or jog key panel, built into the operator console on the arm.

"Enclosure" could mean the gray control cabinet on the back of the machine; or it could mean the black outer enclosure of the operator console; or it could mean the anozided inner PC enclosure inside the operator console.

I am going to guess that what you mean is that the 120VAC cabinet cooling fan in the door of the gray control cabinet comes on; but the 12VDC cooling fan in the back panel of the operator console does not come on, and you either do not see any display at all on the LCD screen, or you see only a message similar to "no signal, going to sleep".

If that is the case, then you either need to replace the battery on the motherboard and momentarily short the motherboards power-button pins to get it to start up; or you have a dead micro-ATX power supply in the console. You nailed it. I’m going to do the battery thing. I tried the fan jumper on the power supply and it ran for 20 minutes befor I shut it down.

is not much use without a schematic to see what you are referring to.
I assume you got a schematic with the control and understand how to read it?

Your pictures you posted are too small (low resolution) so we can't click on them to see any detail.

Replaced CMOS battery. Came up no input signal. While in the CPU I noticed the heat sink fan looked weird. Turns out the upper right clip had broken and nothing to hand on to. Pulled fan and heat sink, Chip fell out of socket. Reinstalled and zip tied the upper part of the sink and fan to hold thinks tite. Everything now working.
