Question can I drive my AC Fanuc motors with a cheaper drive say Delta Presuming I change the encoders

Peter, you have to provide more information.
Pictures of the Fanuc motor and its label would be helpful. Overview of the machine and project.
There is more to just swapping an "encoder" on an AC servo, but I am ASSUMING because you did not provide specific information about the motors, the machine, the current control etc We can definitely provide some advice provided we know what you are working with.

The request was a last attempt to cheaply use the existing motors on a Daewoo 6S slant bed Lathe
I have since ordered replacement Chinese motors and drives

The reason I asked, is because Centroid does make their own drive, but it is dependent on which FANUC servo you are using.
