V2XT Gear Selector Prox Switch (Resolved)

Post by Daniels Precision »

With my gear selector in the high speed position, the
signal to input 13 on my All-in1-DC should be red showing
an open contact. Mine is green. The input does change
state when I cycle the gear lever.
Back on 1-8-2014, cncsnw recommended adding 512 to
Par 178 to invert the states. That doesn’t seem to work
for me. Is there another parameter I should be looking at?
Thanks, Scott

It depends on what PLC program you are using.

We cannot tell without a Report.

However, if it is a reasonably standard one that is less than five years old, then it probably uses Ctrl-Alt-i (on the Alt-i PLC Diagnostic display) to invert inputs, instead of using bits of Parameter 178.

Scott, ALWAYS provide a FRESH report when you ask a question or even follow up question. The report contains all the machines parameters and how you have them set.

Your PLC program uses inversions on the Alt-i display. It does not use Parameter 178.

Marc is suggesting you invert the input.
Go into your diagnostic screen. Alt+i to toggle it on and off
Go to the input. There will be a descriptor, middle of the screen under the last row of "LEDs" so you make sure you are on the right one.
Press Ctrl+Alt+i to invert the input, there will be a bar over the LEd when inverted.

See if that works
