I have an Atrump Maximill, but it has a newer control, running CPU10.
Tough decision, CNCSNW (Marc Leonard) is providing you good information if you are capable of doing the troubleshooting of your machine. Are you comfortable working with the electronics?

If it were me, depending on the condition of the machine, might be inclined to upgrade it to All in One DC with PLC1616ADD, But that's a significant effort.

Marc, I would assume there is no other upgrade for this early of a control? (CPU7) Using the external Koyo PLC?
I assume his best effort would be to continue to diagnose the existing control based on your guidance (And or that of Centroid Support)

What do you get when you press F7/Utility -> F6/PLC Diag. ? Can you post a picture of that screen?

Also, if you could post a picture of the interior of your control cabinet, that would help us know what layout and components you are working with.

The encoder counts values (8000 counts/rev) makes me think you have DC brushed servos and a SERVO1 drive; but I would be very surprised if you could reliably get a DC servo to give you the 3048 RPM needed to move Z at 400 in/min with 7.62 revs/inch. That leads me to wonder whether you have the OPTIC1 drive interface and some third-party servo drive setup.

When I go f7 utility f6 plc diag the screen goes black then back to screen to scopes f6 plc diag screen.

Here’s a little more background I bought it with hard drive out and bought a ssd from centroid the settings could be off as my drives info was unrecoverable so they loaded with what it should have.

When I powered it up today the alarms went away and I was able to home it again.

My next issue is spindle speed is way way low from what is input. This was part of the problem on why previous owner retired it.

One other thing I’m trying to run on single phase 220 vac which I have been told should work with the frenic vfd in the control cabinet for spindle control.

Thanks again for your help

How does it behave if you change Machine Parameter 31 from 0 to -1?

Are you able to navigate the DOS command prompt? If so, check:
1) Is there a file in the C:\PLC directory named RUNPLCDB.BAT?
2) Is there a file in the C:\PLC directory named ATC3.SRC?
3) Is there a file in the C:\PLC directory named ATC3.DAT?

Download and unpack the attached file, and copy the two files within it to your C:\PLC directory.

That should make the F7/Utility -> F6/PLC Diag. function work.
