Try reseating the CPU7 board in the PC104 socket.

Look between the boards with a mirror and flashlight, to ensure that all pins are inserted in the right sockets; that nothing is in the way; and that the connection is fully seated.

If this was a DS12887 battery chip replacement on an AR-B1564, and you added a socket, that socket/chip assembly may be too tall.

Thank for the help,
I have taken it apart further to have better access. I have attached a photo. I have inspected and am sure I have the pins in the proper place. my concern I have now is are the pins in far enough? You can tell that there is some taper to the socket. When I first removed the bard there was some resentence when the pins came out. now there is none. Should I take the front panel with the monitor off or bend a 1/4" wrench at 90DG remove the two boards together and press them together more?

I did not replace the battery socket just the battery.

Respectfully,
Travis

When I was swapping out a lot of mother boards, I started using PC104 extensions. Just a simple male/female extension, but it made it easier to align the pins and always allowed for full insertion. Only drawback was necessity of longer standoffs.

If there is not significant resistance plugging and unplugging the PC104 connector, then something is physically not right.

It probably is worth taking off the front panel so you have better access and visibility.

I am guessing that is an Aaeon PCM-6893 motherboard, for what it's worth.
