set up...oak.

Post by mark »

newbie.

new retro install. SN A900832
everything checks out but.
we cannot get past homing...
The drives work fine, we can test them through our own systems...encoders are ok too
limit switches all work and display along with e stop and other echoed dialog, so we know the OAK and the Pc are all fine.
Having filled in the various parameters all seems well until we try to instigate a move.

Further info on problem ...when in:-
M.comp
we get
X axis table cannot be created because of invalid travel limit settings.
Find home
Unable to find home switch
PID-Encoder
Moving the encoder increments the display accordingly suggesting that the system must be reading the encoders.
Front screen
The command line box indicates that the limit switches are functioning when they are activated.

If we set the home+ limits to 0 then try to home any axis...the drives activate and then fault out.
screen displays 457 cannot find home limit...and 9045 drive fault.

If its not looking for a limit because we have set it to no limits present what does this mean?

any help please.

Confidence is the feeling you have before you fully understand the situation.
I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are where they should be.

Without a report, it's anybody's guess.

My guess is he forgot to connect 24VDC to H2.
