410 Position Error- Estun Drives

Post by schric11 »

Hello,

has anyone ever seen this before and know how to fix it, or would you try to run these two programs of mine and tell me if you had the same problems or not..?
I get position errors on 2 different axis from 2 different programs.. and the one if I delete 2 of the 3 consecutive X axis moves the program runs fine..

if you run them make sure Z and X are far away from your end of travels , vises, and parts as you see from my videos....

I am interested in knowing if you could or couldn't run the program , the drives your system uses, and the drive mode used...on an oak system...

here are my videos to explain better..

https://1drv.ms/f/s!AtwpR4vsrjBkhE1mC0woglS_1Vm9
https://1drv.ms/v/s!AtwpR4vsrjBkhE7qvwCJ0eCa6DTP

the 45inch program I just restart at 5100 to quickly see the problem. I was able to run this on my Allin one DC..
the138921310otherside program I just run T10 the problem happens 1 minutes in.. if I delete the X axis moves on line 515 and 516 it runs fine till the next 3 consecutive X Axis Move group.

Please post a fresh report with any support inquiry.
What is history of this control? New conversion?
Were axis motors tuned?
Also post the offending G code file. I can't specifically help you but the additional information will likely help those that can.

There is a fresh report in the attachment.
It is a relatively new conversion its only been making parts since February..
the axis motors were tuned.

all the files are in the attachment..
Thanks

OK, you did not explain what was in the problem XXX.zip file. You should, normally I don't download something like that without knowing.....

I see the position error in your log file. Casual observation, wondering if the abrupt change in your X direction is causing the position error.
That's why the offending code and line number might help someone better experienced than I. You do demonstrate that in your video. Thanks for takign the time to show the video.

Hopefully Marc or Tom will chime in. Or perhaps one of the Centroid Techs familiar with the Estun drives.
I'll be watching to see how it works out.

Ya the file ending in 310 other side I seen that too, if I ramp a slot with X and Z moves its fine. The other file were Z errors out its harder to see an abrupt change of a single axis...

Marty, don't you have an Oak system with Clear view AC servos on it..? :)

Could I get you to try these programs and see if it happens on your system?

Because I only have one Oaks system I cant compare things. it would help me if I knew system B ran the programs in precision mode or System C ran them in velocity mode but have different drives.. or system D is the same as mine with these parameters being different.

I don't know whos drive technical manual to download to compare it to mine... I little info would give me a point to focus on.

Thanks

Can you edit your CNC file down to three or five lines, and still get the problem to happen?

Does that particular problem still happen in that particular move, with Smoothing turned Off?
