*** RESOLVED *** Inverter connections

Post by sandcrab123 »

I wonder if I could please have a little clarrification on hooking up my Hitachi inverter to the ALLINONECNC.

I have the wiring connections for the inverter and have the primary connections done. My question is that the nomenclature for the Inverter is confusing to me with the nomenclature on the ALLINONECNC. As well I've found a couple of different wiring diagrams and none of them show the current configuration of the new ALLINONECNC.

This is the wiring connections as shown on the Hitachi instructions:

Hitachi Wiring Connections.
1 - Forward Run
2 - Reverse Run
6 - Fault Reset
P24 - Input Common
O - Voltage Frequency Command (0-10 volts)
L - Common for frequency command
AL2 - Fault output ( normally open)
ALO Fault Output Common

AllinOne relay's out as labelled on new board:

Spin CW
Spin CCW
Spin Dir Com
Spin en Com
Spin en
Spin Res
Spin Res Comm
Spin Fault
Twelve volts Positive

I also notice that some diagrams show connections to the estop relay. Could you please clarify which VFD connections go to the above labelled connections on the ALLinone? Which connections go to the Estop relay? A current diagram or matching up the above connections would be a great help. Your prompt assistance would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Dan

1 - Forward Run -> Spin CW
2 - Reverse Run -> Spin CCW
6 - Fault Reset -> Spin Res
P24 - Input Common -> Spin En Com, Spin Res com
O - Voltage Frequency Command (0-10 volts) -> Spin Spd
L - Common for frequency command -> Spin Spd Com
AL2 - Fault output ( normally open) - Use the NC fault output instead (probably AL1) -> Spin Fault
ALO Fault Output Common - Wire to the opposite polarity of the voltage you have wired to INP9-12 COM
If you have +24VDC on INP9-12 COM, this should go to 24COM,
if 5COM on INP9-12 COM, wire to +5VDC etc...

Thank you Scott,

It means a lot to get a prompt answer to an inquiry. Sure keeps the stress level down and is very much appreciated. :D

Thanks again,
