I bought an Atrump cnc mill with m400 control, the hard drive was non functioning so I purchased a SSD thru centroid. The problem is now it doesn’t complete the power on self test and just stops. Any help would be awesome.

What model motherboard is it? See http://www.cncsnw.com/Motherboards.htm#MS6787

Do you see any swollen or leaking capacitors on the motherboard?

Is the CPU heat sink and fan assembly securely clamped over the CPU socket?

Perhaps there is something about the compact flash adapter or card that the motherboard does not like.

Do you have any other small IDE hard drive you could test with?

No I don’t have another drive to try. The card is 16 gig I read TB119 says this motherboard needs 8 gig or less I’m wondering if that is the issue.

Ok so I tracked down a different hard drive to try
And it posted fine and loaded an old version of Windows.
So I tried the new ssd drive and same thing it stops and says waiting on pri master, so I tried the old drive again and it booted fine I did this 5 times same results new drive fails to boot old hard drive boots fine. Is it safe to say my motherboard does not like this ssd?

You should ask Centroid to exchange that card for one that is 4GB or less.

What operating system and control software version did they say they put on it?
