Hello Everyone,

What size SSD is everyone running in your PC for the Centroid Mill CNC Allin1DC? What is the minimum requirement?

I have a 128G on two machines and 256G on another two. Samsung 860 pro's. 128G is more than enough, but the 256Gs are now easier to find and only $90.

I only run the Centroid software, text editor, and PDF viewer on my machine controls. They are not connected to the internet. If you want CAD programs, Facebook, and the kitchen sink, 256G may not be enough for you.
Cheers,

Tom

The Centroid Software only takes up around 100mb, but Windows itself takes up about 24GB and is growing with every update. SSDs also need some free space to work at optimal performance. So 128GB would probably be the minimum, but as stated above, the cost is so low for 256GBs it doesn't make sense from a future standpoint to save a few bucks and drop your capacity in half. If you already have 128GB drives lying around then no problem in using them.
