**RESOLVED** Spindler Speed control(DAC)

Post by mpimanu »

Hi!
I need help for get control on Analog Output(ALLINDC1).
I'm running Mach 3 and ajax plugin.
Right now I have control of Relay output and Input.

But I can't control the Analog Output. All time is 9.95 v.
Someone have a suggestion for get control on this?

Regars,

I'd check you wiring.

Disconnect the analog and analog wires from from the ALLIN1DC and measure the analog output by itself.

You shouldn't change anything in the ports & pins setup or brains for the spindle, it's already configured. The only thing you may need to change is the "pulley ratio" which really just sets the max speed. I believe default is 8000 so if you program M3 s4000 you should get 5V,
M3 S2000 = 2.5V and so on

I Check what you said and all is correct.
I put on MDI the comand Sxxxx and the spindler not change the speed.
Also, I have Ajax Spindler( I changed the output modbus 14 to 4(Enable relay)),Ajax Pendant spindler1,2,3.

I configured the SW3 (DAC) for -/+10V for my spindler control.
I tried to do a Brain for control that, but I could't converter the decimal value to digital.
I used Cmd Spindler RMP and Spinlder % after that did a Formula for 0-4095.
I can control the -/+10V manually, I did a brain for 12 input direct to Output 241 -252(12 bit).
How can change the value 0 - 4095 to 12 bit? (output 241-252).

Again, Thank for you help!

Hi,

Wow - That is a lot of changes to make all at once and then try to troubleshoot.

The first thing I would do is start over.

1. Set the hardware back to default values with the jumpers (0-10VDC)
2. Delete your Mach 3 directory (and sub directories)
3. Re-install Mach
4. Re-install the plugin and default Brains only
5. Test the 0-10VDC

Once we have confirmed the default behavior(s) work, we will try changing one thing at a time

BTW 0-4095 is 12 bit, if you're asking how to set your spindle output bits (Out241-OUT252)? I'll try to write something up
after we get the default behavior working but I'm not sure you can write those directly without the commanded spindle speed from the plug-in stomping on them.

Hi,
In another hard drive installed windows Xp, Mach 3 version 3.043.28 and Mach-Ajax-v1.14(that was I have).
I followed the instruccion for mach 3 for turn machine. Ran the drive test file and said SYSTEM UNDER MACH3 CONTROL.
I followed the instruccion for Operator;s manual V1.14 for DC3IOB, I followed this because give me instruccion for configured
input, output and explain what doing the brain that I have. Only have the brains writing in this manual.
Is this brains for my allin1dc?
I must do little change on some brains for works on my board.
Like Ajax Spindle brain, has configure Mod 14 for Spindle Enable(Output 14?), and my board only have 9 output.

The ALLIN1DC revision 090729 i used to setting on the board.
How you suggest changed Sw3 (DAC) for 0-10V.
The voltage on DAC output is 0.043v all time, never change.

I take note for each step that I did when re-install all, I would like send to you.
May I add in this option(forum)?

Regards,

Gabo
