Actual Feedrate monitor

Post by mighty_mike015 »

Hello all,

I wasn't able to find my query through the search, so I will pick your brains. I am building a plasma table and a router and want to use Centroid for both. The router is a given. However, I'm still up in the air for the plasma. One thing I would like to know, is can the plc portion of the acorn track the actual feedrate commanded by the motion control? Example, if coming to a corner, the actual feed rate will reduce as it enters the corner and then increase as it exits the corner. Can the acorn monitor this value and trigger an output if it becomes lower than __% of the actual commanded feedrate? The percentage would be a user defined variable. I can then have that output signal the THC control to stop adjusting in these situations.

Thanks
Mike
