I am running Mach3 and want to know if I need to change the kernel speed to rapid at 250 ipm. It is currently at 25000. My encoders count 20,000 pulses per inch.

Hello Kevin,

The kernel speed should be left at the default value. If your motors are capable of reliably running at an RPM high enough to reach
250ipm with your mechanical cfg, the control will run it at that speed
