Vectrax knee mill with Centriod M400 controller running CNC7(DOS)
This machine was working fine. It was moved and is now under power. The machine will not go to home out. It gives errors of _ axis full power w/o motion. If I apply pressure to the handwheels in the X- and Y- directions, the machine will home correctly. The same holds true for MDI. If I apply pressure in the X- direction I can input G codes and execute them. Also all 3 axis JOG just fine with no errors.

I can't imagine how applying pressure to the handwheels would have anything to do with the control operation.
Maybe dead/pitted spots in the commutator(s) on the motor? Try jogging very slowly and see if it stalls and/or command faster moves to see if it will complete an MDI command.
What is the DC voltage going into the drive? Does it sag when motion is commanded? If so, Perhaps the contacts in your Estop contactor are dirty or it isn't pulling in cleanly and it can't pass enough current to the drive?
