Keyless Timing Pulley

Post by martyscncgarage »

Looking for a source for XL Keyless Timing pulleys. .5" bore (or boreable) 1" wide.
I remember reading about keyless pulleys, that clamp down to the shaft, but for the life of me, I can't find the post.

Thanks in advance for ideas.
Marty

Marty...
Are you sure you are looking for XL? They are light duty and I have never seen them advertised over 1/2" wide.

That said, here is my source: https://shop.polybelt.com/main.sc

They have XL bar stock and flanges, but no clamping pulleys.

Usually pulleys with Quick Disconnect (clamping) style housings only come in the L and larger sizes. Misumi has some in metric sizes, however. https://us.misumi-ec.com/vona2/detail/1 ... 797%3a%3ac

System you are after is called Taperlock. You can buy taperlock bushes as well & bore your pulley to match.

It's for the turret drive on an EMCO 140 lathe. Belts clearly says 200XL. Emcos do have their little quirks. I could take pulley stock and make it.as well.

You could also look at Fenner keyless bushings. McMaster sells them (even though they refuse to tell you the brand, they are Fenner) https://www.mcmaster.com/screw-clamp-bushings The "Quick-Grip Screw-Clamp Bushings" at the bottom of the page are Fenner Trantorque Minis.
