They are the devices with two gray Honda connectors at the bottom, and a "CACR-SR..." part number printed along the edge of the board.

Thank you Marc, these are actually a SIGMA drive variant? I'm used to seeing them in an enclosure.

The CACR-SR series predate the Sigma drives, but will have some pretty familiar features for those of us who have worked with the first-generation Sigma drives. Even many of the pin numbers in the 50-pin Honda connector (1CN) are the same as those in the later mini-D type connectors.

And yes, it wasn't until the Sigma drives in the early 1990's that Yaskawa started putting servo drives in beige plastic boxes.
