Thank you. That's a good start.
#2. When you write "build a new cncpc", to what are you referring? I don't have a new blank pc. Just updating the original console.

I thought I read previously that CNC12 would require PLC program changes when upgrading from CNC11. If that is correct, could you provide a little more detail on what changes will be required?
Cheers,

Tom

Are you running a Basic PLC program or did you customize it? We have CNC12 versions of the Basic PLC programs.

I have the generic PLC program...BUT, I'm running windows 7 on a NUC. I have integrated the handheld pendant 4:3 aspect ratio touch screen and wired MPG into a nice console. Not sure it is worth the expense to upgrade to Win10 at this point.

When upgrading from CNC11 to CNC12 on an Oak controller are PLC changes only necessary if we want to use VCP and USB MPG? I do not have either of those, but I do have some customization to my PLC program. I was wondering if I could just keep the same PLC program when upgrading?
Cheers,

Tom

CNC12 doesn't require any PLC changes. If you change hardware (MPU12/REDOAK) or add virtual control panel, USB MPG, etc., that can require changes.
