new Milltronics all-in-one retrofit

Post by Samandkimberly »

I'm just starting down the path of retrofitting a Fryer bed mill with an All-In-One controller, bringing it into the 21st century. I've bought the controller and new encoders, the recommended Intel NUC for control and an Asus touchscreen. While I'm waiting for the All-In-One, I've been trying to set up the PC end.

After following the fresh Windows 10 CNC install I downloaded the latest CNC-11 software (V316D) off the website today and installed it per the video. All went well until I tried to install the PLC programs; there don't seem to be any. Should these be part of the install download zip file, or should I patiently wait to see what sort of software comes with the All-In-One package when it gets here? Or, am I missing something obvious?

Thanks, I'm excited to get cracking on this.

You get this resolved? Its part of the install process. You select the generic mill PLC.

Thanks. Yes, I did get it resolved, by re-downloading everything; somehow, the first download was missing Plc files. After that everything works exactly as its supposed to. The documentation is a pleasure to work with so far.

I’ve got all the pieces of the puzzle working and in one room now, just have to put everything together. :-)

I think you will enjoy having the mill with the new Centroid control.

Re: new Milltronics all-in-one retrofit/unlock codes

Post by Samandkimberly »

Well, that took a while. Thanks to a lot of other projects I only powered up my system for the first time today, 9 months after getting the new control. But I’m excited: everything seems to be working as it’s supposed to, right up to unlocking the software. For reference:

Intel Nuc running Windows 10 clean install.
Downloaded Copy of CNC11, v316d
New AllInOne controller bought in April, 2018, S/N A900630

I have a single software unlock sheet, but is only has values for the CNC10 21 day demo mode, and the CNC 7 10 day demo mode; no permanent unlock code. I was using these for about 1/2 hr when I tried entering a wrong unlock number in the demo codes and now they don’t work either. I can’t find any other records of any other unlock codes; Is it possible the permanent unlock codes are on a different sheet I somehow lost?

Thanks,

Sam

Send a copy of your most recent report to support@centroidcnc.com and ask them for the unlocks.
