New install allin1.
All axes were working fine, could home the machine, all was fine for the past few days..
Observations:
Previously occasionally when i tried to jog x axes, i would have to push the left or right arrow key twice before it would move.
I have a 412 MPG1 encoder error that has always showed up when i start the cnc software.
(tonight i took off the cables for x axis off rechecked connections and pulled cover off encoder and went through each connection)
retried jog moving x, no go.
I switched cabling from Y to X and X to Y on the allin1 side. tried jogging Y axis and now X axis moves as it should. tried moving X and Y would not move.
When i try to home the machine now z homes as it should first then it homes Y. I can see the homing prg run on screen and it acts like x does not exist because it does not even show the X commands, checked and yes the .hom file still has the command lines.
report attached,
Please advise,
thank you
RL

Re: X axis stopped working
Problem solved Mario found the problem, a parameter that i set incorrectly. Back to all drives working again!!
the error msg is now gone as well.
Thank you!!

Re: X axis stopped working
What parameter was that?
Changing Parameter 348, as Scott suggested, would fix the MPG encoder error message. To the best of my knowledge, though, that would not have any impact on X and Y axis jogging control.

Re: X axis stopped working
Parameter 35 was set to 1 which told the control that the 1st axis was the spindle axis. Since they did not have a spindle encoder installed in their system, we set that parameter to 0.
