Error 410 position error new install allin1, all axes

Post by RandyL »

I am currently at the stage of chapter (6) 6.3 "Motor Software Setup" in manual.
Using Alt + J for control.
Feed-rate set to 10%
Drive belts all removed from motors.
Each axis motor tested one at a time. Each motor has the same response when i try to move.
Axis motor spins up quickly then immediately error of "410 (1,2or3) Position error"
I have manually set PID for SEC motors 40 in/lb motors. kp 1, ki 0.00391, kd15, Limit32000

Note that DRO on main screen does not register anything when i manually turn motors.
However encoders are working/registering (F4 PID) (abs pos field). I doubt this is related to issue of error code 410.

Please advise.
thank you

Try reversing the polarity (RED/+ with BLK/-) of your motor power connections.

That worked.
Motors now lock up.
No error, mdi command line moves each axis and displays movement on DRO for each.
reversing motor leads did the trick.
Thank you!!!

When I "esc" mdi mode back to main menu. after about 1 minute motors drop out and display "x y z idling too high: Releasing power"
note: when in mdi mode, directly under DRO readout line there is a thin line under each axis that is bouncing between 1/8 and 1/2.
motors are kinda buzzing, sizzling a bit, not warm to touch.

Your Kd should be set to 3 (not 15) for all axes.

I'm curious, where did you get the value (15) you used for Kd?

I switched kd to 3 all axis.
Much quieter now, still a little humming.

I see. That is for CNC7 & CNC10 systems. Your system (ALLIN1DC) is CNC11. -Look at table right above the one you circled in the pic you posted.

You may want to try reducing it to 2.5
