Working on X- (8LS) and X+ (7LS) limit switches today. This lathe is equipped with the X home (9LS) switch but it is not hooked up. Looking at the drawings that came with the lathe it was not even called out. Well the yellow wire is called out, but go to an empty spot on the terminal block.

Anywho...X- is working fine. Hits the switch and travel in the minus direction stops as I would expect.

However, the X+ while it seems to be working in software, ie lamp on parameter 16 toggles when I manually toggle the switch, it does not stop the motion of the carriage.

added a video showing the messages when manipulating the switches by hand.
Any ideas for my next move?

Ok, following the Centroid Hardinge Retrofit Manual rev 041104 I see I should be checking for limits and home to be set to 1 for Z-, 2 for Z+, 3 for X- and 4 for X+.

Not sure where to see this as referenced. If they mean Inputs 1 to 4 , I find them as inputs 13 to 16, which lines up with the parameter LEDs I see changing.

I confirmed with a meter that I have continuity from the switch to the input, the LED confirms that, but wanted to make sure the wiring was correct.

Presuming you mean that INP16, on the Alt-i display, changes from Green to Red when you trip the X+ limit switch, then the next step is to make sure that you have entered "16" as the X+ limit input number, on the Machine Configuration -> Motor Parameters table.

Yes that is what I meant. Thanks for the direction, will go take a peek and see what it has.

I see from the pic I did not have one of the X+ home was not set either. That took a few minutes to realize when I was trying to "set" home.

I was working on the coolant pump Thursday. Wired it up on Low voltage in Delta configuration and hooked up the smallest Capacitor I had on hand. I could feel a Hum on the casing, but no coolant. On and off trying a few different things and smelled smoke. Not good.

Next day reached out to my high school friend that is an industrial electrician. He suggested going to Low voltage eye configuration since it was most likely wye to begin with. No luck. I decided to tear jt apart and see how bad I smoked it.

Both bearings were rusted solid. Cut them off with a handheld grinder. Got two replacements. Cleaned up the armature and out it back together. Reconnected wires and crossed my fingers. It works. So I have coolant now. Buttoned everything up and got a "first chips" video made. Now I need to find some tooling.

This project came with Centroid V11 3.14 and I noticed it did not have graphing where I expected to find it. (It may have it somewhere)

So I decided to try an upgrade. Placed 3.16 on it and I could Graph jobs. Yay.

Then I decided I could use my TT-4 on the face of the spindle to set my tools with. Because I bought both the TT-4 and the KP-3 when I ordered the stuff for the Acer Mill I had a spare wire connection. Got it installed on the lathe and found I could not use the probe on V11 of the software...bummer. So I tried updating to V12 5.20 first. That meant I needed to upgrade the PC from Win7 to Win10. Managed to get that completed during my off hours from a new to me job that lasted just 3 weeks. Anywho....got it installed and found out that none of my settings came along for the ride. Well, I tried the newest version too. Both of these require the new licensing file from what I can find, which I do not have. I have so many folders renamed and copies of Reports and backup reports...confusing...Anyway I saw that there is an older version of 12 4.20 I think it was that seems to have kept my info on the ATC that the Hardinge has without requiring a license file. . But now the option for the probe is greyed out. I guess I need to upgrade to V12 pro to get that functional? I am hoping to get the $299 upgrade vs more...not made of money over here.

You're correct on both accounts.
A CNC12 Pro or higher license is required for use of a TT-4.
Upgrading from any version before v4.16 will make you eligible for that discounted license you mentioned.

That being said, I would recommend updating to our latest version of software (CNC12 v5.30) and going through with the $299 discounted license.
This way you'll get all the fixes from more recent updates and access to the new features that come along with it.
Here's the link to where you can buy the discounted license:
https://shopcentroidcnc.com/shop/cnc-so ... 1dc-mpu11/

Also on that page under the "documentation" tab you can find a Tech Bulletin about upgrading from CNC11 to CNC12.
