Oak Riggid Tapping

I am using the Centroid CNC Oak control on the milling machine. During rigid tapping the Z-axis travels an additional 7mm. What could be the possible cause of this?

If the spindle inertia causes the spindle to continue spinning after it is turned off, the Z axis will continue to move until the spindle stops. Follow the setup instructions in these tech bulletins:
