Getting through some programming on an Oak controlled CNC running the latest greatest Centroid software etc.
In my program for resurfacing intake flanges on automotive cylinder heads I have to follow a wall with my shell mill. The program itself is working great, however I am trying to speed it up for production and after i use G42 for cutter comp the rapid to get to the beginning of the cut moves at 3ipm. I beleive what it is doing here is actually applying the cutter compensation but I am not 100% sure of that. Anyone else had this issue, and is there a parameter I can edit or a way to have the rapid completed.. rapidly lol.
Attached is a pic of the G-Code line giving me troubles.
Thanks for the help!

Re: Rapid after G42 moving very slow
post a fresh report.zip and the offending g code program.
in general don't use a rapid to 'get compensated', use a line. G1
