HI I have an Allin1 controller in a bridgeport mill conversion, i wanted to know if i wanted to add the 4th axis, from what i see i wouold need a DC1 controller and a servo motor with encoder is this correct ?
I have attached a pic of a bridgeport motor, is this suitable as the 4th axis motor? i am assuming it would need the correct encoder fitted if it is ?
Any help or advise would be welcomed,
Allin1 4 Th Axis Motor

Re: Allin1 4 Th Axis Motor
Sorry forgot to post the control unit number. I am guessing the software will be well out of date as i brought this back in 2020 and it not finished yet ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif)

Re: Allin1 4 Th Axis Motor
The ALLINONEDC will allow you to add the 4th axis. The software will be fine.
On the motor, the spec's look ok, however no encoder details are shown. You will need to make sure you have the correct encoder.
The encoder spec's are in the ALLINONEDC install manual.

Re: Allin1 4 Th Axis Motor
Yes, you will need the DC1 to add the 4th axis to your system. As Scott said, make sure the encoder is compatible.

Here is the manual for the DC1 - https://www.centroidcnc.com/downloads/c ... C1_MAN.pdf
Be sure to read and understand the Drive Numbering. You will need to adjust parameters 300-307. Tech Bulletin 245 gives some additional information about adding a DC1 - https://www.centroidcnc.com/dealersuppo ... ds/245.pdf
