Hey Guys, now that i have my Servo board repaired and the machine running i would like to upgrade the machine from DOS to Linux.
Reasons,
One, to align it with my other Centroid Mill using Linux and two, to enjoy the added features of USB and networking
M400s serial number 20192
i have attached the report.zip with the current configuration ( currently DOS CNC7 ) and have procured the motherboard that would allow the Linux CNC10 version 2.72 ( MS 6368 )
can you provide the Linux software ? i can install it on the compact flash
PLC originally this system was installed on an unknown mill.. and it was full 3 axis. my intention is to install the elrod kit so i can switch between 2 and 3 axis can you provide me with an updated plc for that ?
once complete i would like to purchase additional unlocks for probing, multiple work offsets, etc. can you provide me with that pricing ?
appreciate all the help
Joe

Re: Need Help with Upgrade Path and PLC
thank you for all the help
i have the system up and running with CNC 10 Linux but i have 2 questions.
1: is the motherboard i am using meet the minimum specs. Biostar M6vlr 1 GHZ PIII and 256 ram
2: is there a PLC for the 2 / 3 axis Elrod Z kit ? originally this system was installed on a strictly 3 axis mill
thank you!
