That macro is a MANUAL tool change macro where you are the operator set the z manually and it does not use the plate height stored in parameter 71. And that's not the current mfunc6 macro in your report.
If your probing rates are set in the wizard try running mfunc44 and see what happens.

Re: Tool Touch Off plate
Changed the Tool Touch-Off plate to a .375" Thick and run the test per Gary's suggestion.
Measured the plate at .375 and then run the Z0 and it leaves a .215" gap between the plate and spoil board.
The Wizzard shows .375 on the plate and Parm 71 shows .375 also. Tried the -.375 and no change.
Chriss at Acorn installed the macro for me two days ago and it was not edited. The other m44 is marked as a backup.

Re: Tool Touch Off plate
I am using the Auto Z to plate button and Chris copied the M6funct program to the m44 button. I assumed it was the correct program.

Re: Tool Touch Off plate
Auto z to plate which by default is mfunc44 is not the same as mfunc6 in any way. The two macros do entirely different things. In fact, if I remember correctly as it's been a while since I used a stock install, there is no mfunc6 by default in the software.
Restore the original mfunc44 to your cncm directory and try the auto z to plate button. Be sure your wizard is set up correctly for your touch plate. Make sure it launches the mfunc44 and not mfunc6.
Not sure how/why you are confusing mfunc6 with mfunc44.

Re: Tool Touch Off plate
Chris at Acorn copied the mfunc44.mac file into the mfunc44.mac file and I am using the Auto Z to plate button. Maybe that is why I am having a problem.
Should I reinstall the mfunc44.mac file from my original cncm backup?

Re: Tool Touch Off plate
I'm sorry but I'm not following, what you said made no sense to me.
When you press the "auto z to plate" button which macro is running? mfunc44 or mfun6?
Reinstall the original mfunc44 that was there when you first installed cnc12 4.64 and get your auto z to plate working first. Do not use the mfunc44BU.mac. Once that is working then you can decide on which tool change macro you need, that's the mfunc6.
Let's fix one thing at a time.

I deleted the file that was copied into the mfunc44.mac file by Acorn and installed my backup version into the cncm directory and it seems to work great.
Thanks so much for all your help.

Re: Tool Touch Off plate
Glad to help Bob and happy to hear it's working properly. Now if you want to proceed with a mfunc6 for touch off on multiple tool jobs at least you know the movable touch off plate is working. Do you have a fixed touch off plate also or just the movable one?

Re: Tool Touch Off plate
I only have the movable one.
The cutting depth now appears to be working.
Thanks again for all your help.
