Pin terminals or tinned wires
What did you guys use to connect to the Acorn, pin terminals on the wires or just tin them? Was also thinking of the RJ45 converters.

Ferrule connectors on the wires, you could buy this kit for $23 on ebay.

Another +1 on ferrules. You have to be very careful on tinning. If the wires wick the solder past where the wire connection is made, you run the risk of fatigue breaking the wire. And, if this happens past where the insulation starts, you now have an intermittent connection that's almost impossible to find.

Re: Pin terminals or tinned wires
Tinned, especially fully tinned is not recommended. That said, I believe tinning is better than nothing, but no where as good as installed ferrules.

Re: Pin terminals or tinned wires
Guys, I’m getting back to the build, do you like terminal strips or terminal blocks? I’m leaning toward the blocks for power distribution.

Re: Pin terminals or tinned wires
Terminal blocks take up less room than strips and ferrules are cheaper than ring or spade terminals.
