Contour Shuttle Express & Shuttle Pro V.2 & Wireless MPG
As you all know, that with CNC12 release 4.12, support had been added for the popular Contour Shuttle Express:
http://a.co/6PKUe73
Keith made a video on how to set it up and can be seen here:
https://youtu.be/fHZFk4A-4V0
Since the Shuttle Pro V.2 is very similar, and I had one, I went ahead and made a .pref file
The difference between the Pro vs. the Express is that there are more buttons. So, if you like you can program them to suit your application.
I have attached the .pref file for the Pro. It is currently programmed exactly like the work Scott did on the Express, with one exception. The button to the left of the jog wheels is programmed as ESC (Escape). Just providing the Pro .pref file for your experimentation and use. Its worth is exacly what you paid for it. Use it at your own discretion.
The Contour Shuttle Pro V2 can also be purchased on Amazon

Re: Contour Shuttle Express & Shuttle Pro V.2 & Wireless MPG
Hi Guys,
Well got my hand held controller today from Centroid and set it up in wizard (CWP-4) and I get the read out but nothing works. No jog, none of the keys.
I tried to turn MPG on the screen but it won't go red in the corner. Any ideas? Tried rebooting both the Acorn and windows and no change. Feeling a bit lame at the moment.

What version of software are you using?Roadstercycle wrote: ↑Tue Jul 03, 2018 12:07 am Hi Guys,

You need 4.12 and need the Pro license.
I assume you went back into the wizard and double checked that you only selected the wireless MPG? (Didn't get unchecked)

Re: Contour Shuttle Express & Shuttle Pro V.2 & Wireless MPG
I realize this is not a Shuttle Express support forum - but...
I am running 4.12 Mill Pro
I cannot get my shuttle express to accept the .pref file as depicted in the video. I have gone step by step and it all looks good until I close out. Then I can open the Shuttle express window and it has defaulted to global.
My CNC Wizard is set correctly because when I select Alt-J via the keyboard, I now get the USB Jog Enabled label.
Any thoughts out there are to what I might be doing incorrectly?
Please do not refer me to the video...……
Thanks

Re: Contour Shuttle Express & Shuttle Pro V.2 & Wireless MPG
Do you have the shuttle icon in the right side of the task bar when the Shuttle Express is plugged in?

Yes. And I downloaded the software prior to starting. The only thing I could try is to reboot windows.

I should have been more specific. The Shuttle Express driver.

Re: Contour Shuttle Express & Shuttle Pro V.2 & Wireless MPG
I have no idea why - but it now appears to be working. I did find the literature for the Express Shuttle and the setup interface is just that - it will not display your data when you open it. You can associate this thing with multiple applications and each time you open that application, it will function per your desired set up.
Thanks for the replies

Re: Contour Shuttle Express & Shuttle Pro V.2 & Wireless MPG
I initially had troue getting it installed. The giveaway was that it did not appear in the system tray. If it was not there it would not work, even though the setup went ok. Obviously, it has to be recognized by Windows 10 in order for it to work. I think I went to Contour's website and found the solution, but it's been so long I'd forgotten what it was.
Glad you got it going. Works pretty well. But the wireless MPG works really well, albeit costs more.
