Thank you for the offer. I have two weeks on the road flying all your Amazon Packages. So I’ll be studying this stuff in that time while stuck in hotels.

Great, let me know. I’m a pilot and aircraft owner myself. Of course I don’t own a 737 or 767.

Re: Acorn, Clearpath, Vectric VCarve macros.
I have it all running and working with the manual setting of the z. Still have to wire up a touch plate. A comment on something missing in the manual one. After setting the z your sitting on the board. You then hit cycle start and the z goes up pauses then starts the cut. I do not have my spindle hooked up yet either. What is missing is it would be nice if after hitting start the z would rise and hit another queried pause. That way I can put my dust boot on and start my spindle. Then finally hit start. I also do not believe I can adjust the xy to a new location that hasn’t been cleared to set the next z.

After you manually set z zero you can raise z up away from the material with the VCP or your keyboard and then install your dust boot, start your spindle and THEN press cycle start.
Not sure what you mean by your last comment but once you set x and y zero you can move anywhere on the material to set z zero. Is this what you mean?
You can add a pause in any macro you use for tool changes or z zero scripts. You can customize them to work best with your own workflow.

Re: Acorn, Clearpath, Vectric VCarve macros.
The screen says set z to 0 then hit cycle run. Are you talking about hitting something else to set z to 0. Like the set axis 0 button. I’ve been setting z to 0 then hit cycle start. It raises, pauses, then starts.
The move xy statement was I think it doesn’t let me move to a different xy location that was set in the macro. Lately that’s been above an area that’s cut down and can no longer be used as a reference spot. I gather your saying while paused for setting the z I can also move the xy. I thought I tried and it wouldn’t do it.
So after setting your bit on the surface what are you hitting to set it so you can then raise the z to put the boot on and start the spindle to then hit cycle run.

Re: Acorn, Clearpath, Vectric VCarve macros.
What says "set z zero and hit cycle run"? What prompts this? Are you using a macro or something? I thought you said you are setting it manually. How exactly? Are you moving the bit to x,y and z zero and hitting the "set all 0" button? Can you post a video, screenshot or a step by step as to what you are doing?
If you move the bit to x,y,z zero on your workpiece and press "set all 0" you can move the machine anywhere you want BEFORE you hit cycle start. So set all zero and then raise the z up and install the dust boot, start your spindle and then hit cycle start.

Yes I’m using the manual macro discussed in this thread. That’s why I posted it in this thread to discuss the manual setting macro.
