Milltronics VM17B CNC Mill conversion project

Post by Rdslasers »

I have a Milltronics VM17B milling machine that lost its controller board, so the owner removed it and started a retrofit. It is now just the mill with the servos attached, and ready for the retrofit conversion. The mill has a 10 hp spindle motor, a air powered drawbar, and a spindle encoder.
It comes with the servo drives, the Hitachi VFD, a new American Rotary AD20 phase converter and a Baldor 20 hp motor. The Vice is a Kurt DX6 Crossover that is new, but has light surface rust that cleans off. There is a new cabinet with mounting plate, 14 tool holders and a installation holder for bit changes. I have the braking resister and other components, wire, cables and the servo drive programmer.
This needs a controller board to make this a complete CNC mill. The Centroid Oak would be a great board for this mill. This mill is located in Chillicothe Ohio, 45601 and you can email me at weesew@gmail.com for more info and my contact info. Price is $2,800 and I will trade for a 12-14 gauge metal brake or slip roller. Need to see to make room for my CNC plasma table that’s on order.
