WTB - DYN4 drives and supplies

Post by ShawnM »

I'm starting a retrofit on a Biesse Rover machine that I will outfit it with DYN4 drives and servos. If you have any DYN4 drives, parts or supplies that you want to get rid of let me know. Thanks.

I saw that post, considered them and checked, large motors you have are 3 phase and I don't have 3 phase at home where this machine is going. The gantry is a cantilever type and it needs a rather large motor on the X axis. DMM has one that is 220 single phase. I contacted DMM and they suggested a complete, direct bolt on setup with the same or better performance than the Yaskawa stuff I removed and it's all 220v single phase. I dont think Estun makes a 1000w motor and drive that is single phase, do they?

I don’t see the “summa” drives on Estun website. On their website the largest drive/motor combo that uses single phase power is 400 watts. Current lineup is pronet plus, prone plus ethercat and ED3M and I don’t see any single phase 1000w drive/motor combos. Can you share a link to what you reference or a specific part number? Is the “summa” still a current product?

What were the model numbers of the Yaskawa drives and motors that you removed?

They were the older CACR-SR series drives and USAGED series motors. Nothing modern worth using. Also 3 phase drives and again old. The drives don’t take step and direction either and would require a different controller than the Acorn. They will work with the Oak but I want a more modern and state of the art drive/motor combo. I also want AC servo drives that accept 220 single phase power.
