I had retired these for a while due to a move, but they are back in gray Ano and 7075 AL. 3 offsets to choose from. Great for cutting soft thin materials with your CNC machine.

Re: CNC Drag Knife
Got a new one out:
Adjustable Offset Drag Knife
Adjustable Offset: 2-12mm (~1/16 - 1/2”)
Blades: Any standard sized utility blade. This lets you use HSS, Tin coated or Carbide edged blades.
Set screw is used to recall offset position between blade changes.
Body: Gray anodized 7075 Aluminum (high strength). 62.3mm long (not including blade stick out)
Bearings: Dual 7/8” diameter ball bearings offer best balance between radial load capacity and minimal overall length
Shank: Hardened steel 3/8”. 36.2mm length.
Clamp: 303 stainless steel. M5 bolt
Made in Fort Worth, TX
Days to ship: 1-2 (usually same day)

Re: CNC Drag Knife
Very nice. I see the blade offset is 2-12mm, what is the max cutting depth and minimum cut radius of your drag knife? I currently use a Donek drag knife to cut 6mm EVA foam with my CNC. The Donek D2 has a blade offset of 4mm and the max depth of cut of 6mm. I'm cutting 6mm foam so I'm right at the max depth and I'd like a little more cut depth and still keep a small cut radius.

Re: CNC Drag Knife
I just bought the one that uses the utility knife. He told me it will cut .500" depth. I can see that it will. I like it a lot.ShawnM wrote: ↑Mon Jun 15, 2020 5:39 pm Very nice. Do you have any suggestions on programs to calculate the tool paths for the knife? Got the squares and circles figured out, but rounded corners and other shapes I am lost on right now.

Re: CNC Drag Knife
I use Vectric software and it can generate a tool path for a drag knife. You set up the parameters of your particular drag knife in the software and it calculates the tool path for any shape or design. It’s interesting how it cuts various shapes and patterns and it works really well.

The price is on his website: https://cosmos-industrial.com/index.php ... ucts_id=61
I settled on SheetCam software to generate the tool paths. It was under $200 and it works just fine. Some quirks but its good.........
