Spindle Encoder
Can some please help me find the right encoder for Acorn. I cant seem to find this information on the web site. Will the one in the link below work?https://www.ebay.com/itm/134111688882

5V differential quadrature is correct, but 1000 or 1024 lines is better for a spindle. Especially if you have a spindle that runs over 6000 rpm. You can exceed the encoder bandwidth with too many lines per rev.
You don't mention your spindle rpm, so you need to check that you don't exceed the encoder's mechanical speed limit as well as the electrical bandwidth.
FYI, encoder information on the encoder is included in the Acorn user's manual.
