Need a VFD

Post by scatgo »

Can someone please help me find a VFD that will work with Acorn. My motor is a single phase 1 hp 110v motor. I have found a few 110 single phase input with 110v single phase out put VFD but the few I found didnt seem to take a 5 to 10v signal to change RPM. Thanks in advance for any help.

That is because single phase motors cannot be speed controlled. You need a three phase motor.

The above is correct - to make it variable speed, the motor must be three-phase. Note, however, that the VFD itself will typically operate on single-phase input power, generating the three-phase voltage internally.
