Computer options
Who here has mounted computer motherboard, hard drive and power supply directly in there control cabinet? I'm considering this. How is it working for you?

Re: Computer options
If you buy one of the 1L PC's it'll fit very easily inside ANY control cabinet without having to chop it up into several pieces. I use HP Mini PC's and they measure about 6x6x1.75 inches which is much smaller than any PC that you would chop up to fit.

Re: Computer options
It's not really a matter of space. My control cab is huge. I'm a controls guy for work and doing that kinda stuff is cool to me. Just buy all the parts and build it not necessarily tear apart a computer. Even though new motherboard, cpu, memory, solid state drive will cost more then a refurbished on Amazon Newegg or ebay but it's the fun of doing it yourself and you know what you have. Sometimes they put crap parts in refurbished. Only down side is having to buy windows but even that isn't so bad. That's why I ask if any one has done it.
