Z axis only goes one direction <resolved, loose wire>

Post by ronwalker »

So, I have been running my machine for over a year now. I come in today, I start to zero the Z axis and it only goes one direction. By one direction, I mean when I tell it to go down, it goes down. When I tell it to go up, it goes down more. The issue is the same using the computer or the MPG. Anyone ever see this before?

Well, I am going to answer my own question, in hopes that it could help someone else. After doing the double checking of wires, I have that one of the wires running to my clearpath motors had worked itself loose. It was the direction wire, so I guess that would make sense. Anyway, I have my problem solved.
