I am working on a small lathe project.
I am using NEMA 17 stepper motors and EASON TB6600 drivers. the TB6600 driver is not listed in the config wizard.
How do I configure the driver?

start with the "db25" and set the settings according to your drive. then you can even save it as a custom drive type.
got a link to the drive users manual?

I used the stepper line cl57Y for the wiring diagram.

Re: Stepper motor driver not listed in config wizard
I'd follow S14976 R4 and only hook up the step and direction lines first. The drive is probably enabled by default so you may not need the enable wires connected. When you power up the drives/motors with only the step and direction connected, if the motor locks then you don't need the enable lines.
Take your time and wire only ONE drive at a time to Acorn and get it moving. Then duplicate that same setup 2 more times.
I'd start with a pulse/rev setting on the drives of 1600 or 3200 and be sure to set Acorn the same.
This should get you moving.

Re: Stepper motor driver not listed in config wizard
Thank you but why use the H6 connector when you have the h2 and h3 connectors on the board?
Getting away from that DB25 was the main reason I went with Acorn.

DB25 connector is for steppers and other 5V devices. Screw terminals are for servo drivers and 24V devices.
Cheers,
Tom

I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are where they should be.

Re: Stepper motor driver not listed in config wizard
It explains this on Centroids website where they advertise the Acorn. As Tom stated, the headers are for servos (and a select few stepper drives that operate at a true 24 volts) and the DB25 is for stepper drives that operate at 5v like yours. Below is a link to the PDF image on Centroids website.

If you want to get away from the DB25 then ditch stepper drives for some good quality servo drives like Leadshine or Clearpath.
