Setting up a dual Y axis mill and reading through the documentation which says at the bottom of page 17:
" The Slave switch must be installed on the machine so that is trips FIRST."
https://www.centroidcnc.com/centroid_di ... _guide.pdf
Same message is listed on page 14:
"5.) The Gantry Home Switches must not be square to the machine. The Slave side Home Switch must trigger first
when the Gantry axis begins to seek Home position. Line them up with Gantry then offset slave switch 0.025” closer to the
Gantry."
Why don't I want my home switches on my Master Y and Slave Y axis to be square? This is contrary to how I thought they would be setup unless the software is compensating for the offset somewhere. My limit switches are setup the as pictures on Page 17:
Dual Axis

Re: Dual Axis
so you don't have to fiddle for hours and hours to get two switches to trip perfectly on square.
just get them to hit in the ball park and then use software to fine tune it in. software adjustment is in the Wizard and covered in the manual
once you get the home program running , you check for square and then adjust that number until its perfect. easy peasy.
