Hi all.
I have recently upgraded my electrical cabinet on my lathe setup and now I can’t get the spindle outputs working. If I toggle the output in the diagnostic screen it works as it should and VFD runs as normal but I cannot get the output relay to trigger by using the manual spindle buttons, through code or on the MDI screen with either M3, M94/95 or m65/M85 (output 5 is FWD). What am I missing?
M3/M4 lost control <outputs left in forced off mode>

Yes I have set output 5 to SPINFWD in the wizard and saved it, I have also rebooted both acorn and computer a few times

Re: M3/M4 lost control
It would be super helpful if you'd post a current report from your system so we could look at your settings.

Apologies, I was not at the machine when I originally posted. Please find it attached.

Re: M3/M4 lost control
I wonder if the problem might be because you used the Alt-i display to force OUT5 (among other outputs) OFF....
Keith: maybe the "simplified" PLC diagnostic utility could use some extra training wheels, wherein when it is closed, it prompts the user and offers to restore PLC control of all outputs that have been forced on or off during that session.

Re: M3/M4 lost control
That’s a good thought and I would have thought that restarting cnc12 and the acorn would have reset that but I just checked and unfortunately that does not seem to be the issue. I can cycle outputs 1-3 and 7-8 with M commands just fine

Re: M3/M4 lost control
yeah, that has been discussed before. always tough determine when to draw the line on saving the user from themselves so CNC12 doesn't turn into a series of nagging pop up messages.cncsnw wrote: ↑Sun Feb 25, 2024 2:06 am I wonder if the problem might be because you used the Alt-i display to force OUT5 (among other outputs) OFF....
