Raytool Bm110 laser, Max Photonics 1.5 kw lasersource

Post by Newbie »

I have an existing CNC Plasma cutter that makes use of UCCNC software and the UC400ETH CNC Controller. I am currently converting this to a Fiber laser table. To date for this conversion I have purchased the following:
  • Raytools BM110 Cutting head with Auto-focus, this also came with a Leadshine H2-506 servo driver for the auto-focus head,
  • Maxphotonics 1500W laser source.
My question is that when converting to the fiber laser system I would like to use the existing UCCNC controller, motion cards, stepper motors and gantry, but there appears to be very little information or possibility of UCCNC working with the new laser components. How can I go about integrating the new components and ensuring they work with as minimal modification to the user interface as possible. I am not opposed to a separate controller for the laser source, but I would like to maintain the automatic height adjustability from the plasma table.

This would be a question for the UCCNC forum, no? This is a Centroid forum and this software wont work with a UCCNC controller anyway.

Centroid supports Lasers and we currently have a Fiber Laser in house and are developing Laser specific software for CNC12

Hi Keith, I've been talking to Joey about this as he had some questions about our fiber laser. It would be cool to see this happen.
