cnc router running router pro
I am using Clearpath Nema 34 motors
I would like to set up the faults on the motors, I do have soft limits, but want this as well
I'm ok with the faults all running together through an input.
Can I just daisy chain these wires together, or is there something more I need to do when using clearpaths?
Any documentation would be helpful. I tried to search the forum before asking the question.
Thank you.

Re: Cnc Router Fault wiring (clearpath)
You cannot daisy chain the fault signal together. You need a relay for each motor and I use DIN rail relays for my fault signals. Keith once linked to a relay board you can buy on Amazon for under $10 to wire the fault signals up. You series a COM signal through all three relays on the NC closed side and wire that as your Drive Ok signal. When any of the motors faults it opens the NC side of its respective relay and triggers a Drive Fault on Acorn. Very easy and inexpensive to do. This is the easiest and least expensive way to wire them up and it works every time.
See the Clearpath schematics on the Centroid Schematics page. It shows you how to wire them up. Look for S14972 and you'll see the relay board and how it's used. Easy peasy as Keith would say.
