where and how to backup comp parameters and settings

Post by gwi »

is there a location i can find all the comp table parameters? we had an incident where the machine wasn't holding its tolerances and to find out all the comp tables were not working because the parameters got deleted somehow. so where can i locate them to be able to back them up? i actually would like to know where all the settings are located so i can back of the whole system if the hard drive fails etc.

thanks

All you need to do is create a report from your system and save that to a thumb drive, NOT ON THE CNC PC, and that will contain all the parameters necessary to restore all your settings in the event that all hell breaks lose and the entire system crashes.

I highly recommend that after any changes you make to the wizard/system parameters, no matter what it is, you create another report to that "safety" thumb drive. Everything you'll need to get back up and running is on that thumb drive.
