No VCP? -Resolved-

Hello all. Newbie to the Forum here. I'm hoping someone can shed some light on a system that's misbehaving. Helping a friend trouble shoot a machine running V5.06 on a Centroid supplied PC. It was up and running fine for a few weeks of light hobby work then one day the VCP disappeared. No communication errors on the log and ping tested fine both ways. There is a small blank Virtual Jog Panel window that will hover off the task bar and a Windows Application Error that occurs upon restart or shutdown of Windows (Pics Attached). I searched the manual and the web high and low with no luck thus far, any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

you probably have windows running in tablet mode

Run the Centroid CNC PC Tuner to configure your CNC PC for CNC use. follow the instructions in TB309 as well.

It is a Centroid supplied PC running Windows 11 and per my research it seems that Windows did away with Manual Tablet Toggle on Win 11, so I do not understand how it would be in Tablet Mode? I ran the Centroid CNC PC Tuner and ran through the steps in TB309 but there is still no VCP. Attached is a current report. Thanks to all willing to assist!

What monitor are you using and is it set to the requirements?

It is the HP touchscreen monitor that was supplied by Centroid. I would hope that it is set to the requirements. No settings have been changed between now and when it was operational..

According to his report the screen resolution is set at 1920x1080 which is correct.

Do you have the taskbar set to "auto hide"? I ask because I cannot see the F commands for the buttons at the bottom of the screen. Did you create the CNC12 shortcut on the desktop or did the setup create it for you? I'm wondering if the switch for "-adjustfortaskbar" is in your command line for the cnc12 shortcut. This can cause weird display issues.

Taskbar is set to auto hide, was visible in pic due to hovering over icon to show the related window. Setup created the shortcut..
