When you ask for help, especially with setup questions, the forum requires you at a minimum to upload a current report from the machine so we can see your settings. Without this we are just guessing. Did you setup the spindle correctly in the wizard? If we had a report or screen shots we could help you.
Pictures of the wiring between the Acorn and the VFD would also help along with a link to the VFD manual and any setting changes you've made on the VFD.
Cheers,
Tom
Confidence is the feeling you have before you fully understand the situation.
I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are where they should be.
I normally unplug the spindle speed from acorn. On the 0-10v leads going to the vfd, use a 9 volt batter to send 9v dc to the vfd speed input. See if it works as is should without acorn. You should get 90 percent of max speed.
One other thing from the questions above that is worth re-stating:
I AM able to successfully set the speed to, in this case 800RPM via the MANUAL control. I switch to manual, spindle on, set to 800. The issue comes when I set the speed via NC code.
EDIT: We posted that at the same time. Yes, I can set the speed, ust not via NC code
Your error log is absolutely full of MPU and PC resends. This MUST be addressed before trying to work out other issues as the system will not work properly until this is sorted.
Update, I swapped out the short, shielded Cat6a cable for the ~15' provided one, and ran stress tests which passed. I should have ran them before making the change as they may have still passed, but that's life.
All other requirements had already been completed...
